Download Guaranteed Contacts App

While we work on Version 2 of the Guaranteed Contacts app, you can still use the app by sideloading it directly onto your Android device. The app remains safe and functional, with no unnecessary permissions or data collection.

Why Is the App Not on Google Play?

Google has required certain features, like GPS tracking and other unnecessary permissions, that the Guaranteed Contacts app does not need to function. We’ve chosen to stick to a simpler, safer app that prioritizes your privacy. Cool Telecom collects no data from your phone whatsoever.

How to Sideload the App

1. Download the APK: Click this link to download the app file to your Android device: (watch video below) Download App
   
   NOTE: Your phone will tell you that it may be unsafe to download this app, but this is the exact same version previously on Google Play.
   
   The first time you install an app from your browser, Google may ask you if you want to scan it to make sure it is safe. Please do! Scanning the app will give you peace of mind and erase any doubts about the app's safety.


2. The first time you attempt to install an app from your browser (instead of the Play store) your phone will ask you to enable downloading with your browser. Toggle this setting to "Yes". Alternatively you can also Enable Unknown Sources: On your Android device, go to Settings > Security (or Privacy, depending on your device). Enable the option to Install apps from unknown sources or allow installation from your browser.


3. Install the App: Chrome will likely display an "Open" or "Install" button so you can install the app. If your device doesn't do this, you can Locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder) with your "Files" app and then tap it to begin the installation.


4. Complete Installation: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

Is the App Safe?

Absolutely. The Guaranteed Contacts app is completely safe to use. Google may scan the app for safety during installation, but usually only the first time you install it. It does not collect any data from your phone, ensuring your privacy is fully protected. While you may not have been aware of this fact when you opted to buy and Android phone instead of an iPhone, sideloading is only offered on Android. Apple won't even let you sideload apps.
