If one or more of your line buttons is solid red, but you are not on an active call, you may have a "ghost call". You can reset a ghost call on your own, by logging into your PBX, or you can submit a support ticket to have a technical support representative close the channel for you.
While our newer software and cloud PBX systems do not seem to suffer from this potential problem, some of our older systems can develop a ghost call. This happens when the phone or the PBX fails to receive the "Bye packet". The command that tells the system that the call has ended. if the PBX does not receive this vital info because of network congestion or other connectivity issues, you can reset a ghost call by logging into your PBX and following the instructions printed on this page.
