How to Factory Reset a Cisco 4-line phone

To perform a factory reset on a Cisco 4-line phone.


Press the MENU button.
Dial 14 .
Your screen should respond with "All parameters will be reset..."
Press the OK softkey under the screen to confirm.

 

When the phone reboots


Press the menu button again.
Dial 9 .
Your screen should indicate the current IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.25)
Make note of the IP address. (it won't match the one above. That's just an example.)
Enter the IP address into your browser address bar . (don't "search" Google for it.)
Press ENTER .
Click ADMIN LOGIN in the upper right corner.
Click ADVANCED in the upper right corner.
Click the PROVISIONING tab .
Change the profile rule from /spa$PSN.cfg to 
 
http://config.coolpbx.com/cfg/405-555-9999/201-$PSN.cfg 
 
(NOTE: You're going to change the phone number to match your phone number and the extension (201) to the extension you are configuring)
Change the Transport Protocol dropdown (right side) from https to http (no S)
Click SUBMIT CHANGES button at the bottom of the screen.

Phone should reboot at least once.

You may need to manually reboot it again by pressing MENU and then dial 12 and press OK softkey to confirm.
